"There was a force in the courtroom... We all walked out of court with a tremendous feeling that something powerful had occurred."
(Heather Stroud, Conscientious Protector)
Our non-profit organisation Ecological Defence Integrity (which co-ordinates Mission LifeForce) has recently launched this training programme in the UK.
Next training day: SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2018, 11am - 4pm at Lytham St Annes in Lancashire (Ansdell Institute & Social club, Woodlands Road, FY8 4BX).
Who is the programme for?
The programme is designed for signatories to the Earth Protectors Trust Fund who are taking peaceful action as Conscientious Protectors, standing up to protect the Earth and their communities from dangerous industrial activity.
What does it do?
The programme is intended to assist Conscientious Protectors wishing to represent themselves in a court of law by seeking reliance on their human right to freedom of conscience*.
What form does it take?
We are running one-day intensive courses with follow-up support, training these Conscientious Protectors in how to supplement a defence in court using the Earth Protectors Trust Fund document and associated documents.
We can also offer on-site training at other (eg frontline) locations if several Conscientious Protectors wish to train together and that is more practical than attending at our base in Gloucestershire.
Does it cost anything?
No. EJP courses are free of charge, and template documents will be supplied.
Are there already Conscientious Protectors doing this?
Yes - we are already assisting as an interested party in an amicus capacity for a number of Conscientious Protector cases.
How can I enrol?
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place on our next EJP training day or to organise one at your location.
